Ann Clifford

biography

Ann Clifford is an award-winning sculptor based in Ontario, Canada.   She specializes in large-scale, site-specific, woven metal sculptures often designed in collaboration with clients for interior and exterior applications.  Ann can recreate any of her pieces in different scales to fit specific spaces, with each piece being a little different than the last.  Each sculpture is like a three-dimensional, original drawing.  Commissions are welcome.

Clifford is a veteran Child and Youth Worker with extensive involvement in social service agencies, elementary and secondary schools and children’s mental health centres. As well as a full-time artist, she is currently an Arts Educator at Pine River Institute, a residential treatment program for teenagers struggling with addiction and high-risk behavior. Her Experiential Arts sessions provide relationship building and empowerment through visual art making experiences for individuals and groups. Collaborative projects and workshops are offered to young people, parents, teachers, and frontline workers in the health and human services sector.

Ann has created sculptures for corporations, polo sponsors, equine organizations, government, tourism, and has a lengthy list of commissions, including traditional sculptures in bronze and clay.  Her work can be found in both corporate and private collections internationally.
